There are four different distributions available for different operating systems. XAMPP is a software that allows easy in one package of Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl can be installed. XAMPP is created out of the former LAMPP (for Linux) and WAMPP (for Microsoft Windows), but to the level of compatibility between different operating systems is chosen for the new name XAMPP.
XAMPP is an installer package for Apache, PHP, MySQL and Perl.
